Do you think an open TB would be better then a CAI? You might be sucking more air in, but it's hot air.

I used to have a huge filter replacement. It plugged in where the factory airbox went, I got much better throttle response, and a SOTP feel with a CAI then I did with the bigger filter.

      yes and no...

remember the car was dead cool when I ran so not much underhood heat to be sucked in...

BUT... car runs better with my current setup. FRA air, shaved lid, home depot smooth bellow, and no filter.

and I run a cutout instead of open y-pipe(feels stronger). I was running 14.5s like this right at the begining of the summer. With hptuners now I think I could have run a new best in the summer but not with a crappy clutch. Hence why I am expecting better times this fall

but at the time since I started the $0 in mods thing I was sticking to it, I had tires with better tread but still ran on my factory stockers, also had plugs/wires to give the car a tune up(had occasionaly miss) but once again sticking to the oriinal tune.

^^^ It's still risky and I wouldn't do it. The track is probaly safer than the street tho.

From what I saw on the score board, it looks like your RT was .101 to his .409
I know you definately left the line first. Good run!!!!
