Just bought my 5th Camaro, a 97 convertible, stock, red w/tan top.5 speed.3.8 litre V6. Previous:'73Type LT V8, '78 Berlinetta V8, and 2-'82 Z28s. I think the 97 is a real good car as it handles well and has 200 HP. At 55 yrs old, my wife says I'll never grow up but who gives a sh##! I'm having fun and sporty cars have been always a release for me. No need to pay a therapist, just take the car out, turn the radio up and open it up for a while(safely that is)!

Hi everyone, I'm also new here!

Been playing with F-Bodies ever since I started driving.

1st: My friend (Les) '67 RS, 327, 2 spd powerglide. Built it into a 12 sec. car. Great fun in highschool. He had money (still has and owns a vette) and we had the time!

2nd and present: '72 Formula 400, THM 400, 308 rear end. Complete Stock. 178,000 Miles on it. One great Car! Still got it. Working (sloooowly) on a frame-up rebuild.

                            3rd: Les's '80 Z-28 Camero. Some mods.

4th: '82 Trans Am, 305 Auto, Some mods. Looked Great, ran like crap! Only 160 HP!

                            5th: Les's '86 IROC Z 350 Auto (some mods).

6th: Another Friend's '86 Trans Am, with a Chev 454 big block. (There really is no replacement for Displacement)

7th and present: '99 Firebird 3800 Auto. Commuter car, no mods. (my daughter is learning to drive and I really don't need a lot of HP right now)

The number of hours spent turning wrenches on these cars, and driving them are un-countable, but are some of the most fun and rewarding experiences that I've had.

I've had the '99 Firebird now for about a year and a half. It's got a couple of "issues" that need attention and that's how I came across this website. Spent the last week checking it out and because there is alot of valuable info and great participation here I decided a couple of days ago to join.

                            DZ
Now Playing: \'99 Pewter Firebird, stock, bone stock, and nothing but stock, so help me God!
Comming attractions: K&N Filter, Lid Mod, Intake Bellows Smooth Pipe Mod.
I dream about: Forced Induction (TC or SC) or NOX (or both!)
