  • Need some computer help

For some reason I can't view videos that I download lately. Winamp and Windows Media Player both play the sound but don't give me any picture. On WMP, I see it says "downloading codec," then "download complete," then "error downloading codec." Can anyone help?

          Codecs fight with each other...
Go into your add-remove programs an uninstall all the codecs you have installed.

then install a complete codec pack like FFDShow or Nimov (can be found on yahoo) and you should be ok..

          I use FFDShow [img]smile.gif[/img]

[xvid codec - open source MPEG 4 implementation, supercedes divx]

[Quicktime Alternative Codec (Quicktime without Apple crap)]

[RealVideo Alternative Codec (Real media without Real Player crap)]

That's almost everything you should need. But don't forget to download Media Player Classic.
