i hate the snow so i wouldn't wish for it. but the reason why i hate the nice weather is because in philly 2 radio stations have been playing christmas music for about a month now. well i can't get into it because it has been 70 plus out for a while. now it's cold a raining, so i can get into it but i still miss almost a month of it.

    i'm the weirdo who will listen to christmas music soon as it comes on the radio(here it's 8 weeks before chirstmas played 24/7)

      I take it you usually miss the 5000 threads that pop up when Winter is just around the corner about "How to drive in the snow". A lot of us here drive year round. The firebird is my winter car. But if you don't want the chassis to turn into a rusty pile of crap, you'll keep it off the road. The bottom of my car is horrible.

      The news guy the other day said something I thought was kind of funny. "Hey, you know what they say, If you don't like the weather in the Northeast, wait 5 minutes."

        Edit - Oh, I missed all the clever remarks before this one too, but you all get my point. :D

          Exactly why I store my car for the winter.

              </font>
Take it to the carwash in the winter, helps a lot. I drove my Camaro in the snow for 3 years, on top of it being a 6 year old car when I traded it in. I never had anything other than surface rust on the bottom of the car, could have been easily removed with a little steel wool. There is a trick to that....WASH IT!!! Rust can form either in the winter or summer, doesn't matter, but the reason why it is formed in the winter so easily is because of the road salt used. If you keep the car clean in the winter, including the undercarriage, the salt doesn't adhere to the metals much, hence no rust. Like I said, my car had 6 years on it, plus it was never garaged, parked on a street the whole time I owned it, and always seen winters, but had very little rust. Its all in the upkeep, how you clean the car, even in the winter, helps in the formation of rust.

                jusflyinby... if your going to say something about cheesy cliche's, don't use three more to say it.

                  Oh. Well it looks to me like I used sarcasm. I then refrenced it to a funny FG that popped in my head. I didn't catch any 'cliches' in there. Besides, if it wasn't just a little joking jab to those guys, (not you, whoever you are?), I wouldn't have been sarcastic. :D Thanks for your input though?

                  And Mogobs, yea I agree with ya. Its just upkeep is quite the hassle wouldn't you agree? Getting under carriage washes can get pretty expensive every week, and its tough to wash in the cold and not freeze everything on the car solid. As opposed to rain water, snow and salt tends to find its way into nice crevices and spots and sit there. A lot of the damage being done you may not even be able to see.

                  I've been driving my car for 3 years in the snow now too but definitley have been neglecting the car. Too much hassle, but I may regret it.

                    Do not wash your car in &lt; 32 degree weather. It can lead to clear coat blisters/cracking.

                    To answer another question. I DO driver a RWD car in the winter, but not the F-body. She's in mint condition, and I want to keep her that way.

                    Thinking it has to do with wussiness is not looking at the whole picture.
