I try to keep things pretty low, I usually only shift 2.5k - 3k. Any higher and the mac headers and opened borla kick in and people think the worlds coming to an end.

Holy resurrected thread. Ok since I started, mine is 2-3k on my a4 in traffic and if it's an open road it's drive that biatch like i stole it, redline all the way.
Let's flip a coin. Heads I get tail, Tails I get head.

                Ditto.
With a 3800's torque curve, 2000-2200 is fine unless uphill or loaded. They're like Harleys.

I shift 2000-3000. My car is too loud under load at 1000-2000 or I'd shift lower. (3.73s ftw!)

2000 M5 - I generally shift at 6300. What the hell, eh? Might as well.

i remember reading this thread way back in the day.

but like others said 2000-2300 rpms is fine. up steep hills i let it touch 3000 but the car is loud as hell past 2500.

Well I never really drive the camaro as a DD but when I did:
Hangin out with friends 2500-3000, but driving to work and back just about 1,800-2,000 - No hurry for me and saves gas.
99 3.8- 7k on motor and about 50k on tranny

In my DD honda about 2500-3000 and I'm fairly heavy on the gas. It gets me around 27-28 MPH city and upwards of 35 on the highway. Ricers ftw!
