KFOR in Oklahoma City did a test of it on several different vehicles. It did not work or it reduced mileage.

    They basically called it junk.

      OR

      2. Give me $100 and Ill kick you in the balls for thinking about buying it, then I will give you $25 back for letting me kick you. However, you will still be better off than buying it.

Remember, the whole point of the product is to cut the restriction induced by the stock intake. Most of us have already done that. it probably does help breathing a little on other cars with more restrictive stock intakes.
How can something you are sticking in your intake reduce restriction in the intake? The thing is total BS no matter what car you have.

Most cars already have grooves somewhere along the intake path (not sure where) that swirl the air around to help with fuel atomization.

I've kept extremely accurate details of my car's mileage since new that I've posted on several other strings. Trust me when I say that the mileage went down and went right back to normal once I removed it.

Of course, once I "made it fit" it kinda looked like I'd stuffed a metal sock in my car's windpipe.

why try it if almost everyone says that its a waste. and most of the people that have tried them, say they wasted money.

                  think about it.

I knew the tornado was junk just from the commericals. "Swirling air technology like in jet engines." Last time I check jets didn't swirl ****. They're thinking of a toilet. Ironically thats where the Tornado belongs.

When I called the company, the tech I talked to advised me to go ahead and bend it up "to make it fit." I did and observed over the next few tanks that it actually REDUCED my mileage by a couple of mpg. Granted, this was probably not the ideal application of the product and Tornado was very cooperative with processing my refund, but I think the point still stands that there are more cost effective ways for us to improve our mileage on our cars....
I'm sure there's some rule of etiquite I just broke by quoting myself, but I tried it and it didn't work for MY 97. I imagine it might work better on the 98-02's because of the straight-shot to the throttle body, but for me it actually negatively impacted my performance.

Tornados belong in Kansas, not your intake.

I am surprised that this topic has gotten as far as it has about somthing so pointless its not worth discussing. Fact of the matter is sticking sh*t into your intake is not going to help, but hinder.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
