find a local performance shop that does work on v8 f-bpodies and ask them to do it.

I'd be careful about gears. If it's not done right, you'll end up with an annoying loud whine.

I would do what Eric said. Look for a Perf. shop that works on F-bodies, Mustangs, and Corvettes.

          Don't trust any ricer shop.

not 100 percent sure but depending on your gears, i think 4.10's need an extra part.

Why would it be any more expensive to do headers on a 6? Just do the headers yourself, it shouldn't be too hard. If not, just take it to an exhaust shop, and they can do it.

BTW, get used to people like that talking to you because your modding a V6. I called like 10 shops who refused to do custom exhaust work because "It was just a V6"

I don't know of any exhaust shops that'll install headers, because they're not mechanics.

I didn't say you needed to be, it's just that in my experience exhaust shops refuse to do anything buy exhaust work. Seriously, they told me to go find a mechanic.

Do it in your driveway, i did it in 2 days taking my time. If you want a real challange which i'll never do again is do a 99 through 04 mustang GT. It's impossible unless you drop the k memeber, take off the starter, and lower the motor 4 inch's to reach just a few hard bolts. On the firebird you should be able to do it easly, and the firebird was my first one to do that way. Good luck and have fun, plus it's cheaper if you do it and have a weekend to do it.
