  • Ehh... Who to do the work?

I wanna add a S/C to my car. I moved from Atlanta GA to Seattle WA and know little about the area, but I know enough to say its definitely not as performance inclined as the Southeast is. Who should I go to for custom work? any recommendations?

Im guessing its a 3800 car? What kind of SC? Powerdyne? M90? If you got your hands on a Powerdyne you could do the install your self.

If you were closer to me I wouldn't mind lending a hand. I know plenty of places in NC :( Not sure about GA though. I agree with the above posts. Read up a lot and then go get your hands dirty!

Re: Ehh... Who to do the work?

sorry for the delay...but there's no chance of me doing any installs myself, even to a powerdyne kit. I live in an Apartment and the car sits on the street and I can't do any kind of auto mechanic work in the public...it's in the middle of the city. - sucks cuzz I also can't do my own oil changes anymore..oh well..job market here is much stronger than Atlanta and the pay more than makes up for the loss in these conviniences

I am aiming for the Powerdyne kit thats on the Forum for sale but I dont think Im ganna be able to get it in time... if it sales before I'm able to buy it then I'm going the M90 route.

find a good shop that will let you use a bay or rent one for cheap. or find a real nice friend with some spare room in his garage and buy him some beer. lol

                          Are you being serious? :)

Would you mind helping me out too? I havnt undertaken a project like this before.

On another note... I have to buy some new tools too... If I did find someone who would allow me to use their garage can I also get a helping hand? I havent ever removed heads or an inttake manifold before. I know its mostily bolton but everytime I look at the fuel rails and fuel injectors I get intimdated. Im saying this cuzz this is required for an M90 swap.

Also if I was willing to pay, (duh) would there be any member of this board who could fab me an M90 kit? Would the M90 from the RWD holden (Australia) bolton without problems? I know where I can get one...

Yeah if you don't mind driving 2 hours south of seattle. I'm sure I can install a powerdyne without too much trouble, but an m90 I wouldn't even know where to begin. I don't have hpt though so if we did do something like that I couldn't tune it for you.
