Its a DBW setup, he used the angled intake and then put the DBW throttle body on the end of the thing he made. Thats what it looks like to me.

Cool... I always wanted to do angtp swap and build a bracket like that and run the drive by wire tv off to the side or.something.

That looks like one of the builds UR50SLOW did a while back. I remember the piece between the throttle body and intake.

Ok, first, what is a DBW setup? What are the advantages of this setup for a boosted car?

Re: Anyone know this set up?

DBW is the electronic drive by wire throttle control that came in the 99-02 V6 cars (and current model GM cars). Not really any advantages to it over drive by cable in these cars, other than not having to replace a worn throttle cable.

NO! It is NOT a DBW setup.

That is a 96-98 LIM with the cable TB relocated to the other end of the 90 degree intake tube. The small tubes are for the IAC and PVC systems.

It was relocated to provide clearance for the turbo.

Gotta agree here, I see the two cables coming from the drivers side, just right of the intake. Those are throttle cables......

The TB can be clearly seen. It is a 96-98 TB - NOT a 99-02 DBW. They are not even close in appearance.
