  • Hello F body people

After almost 14 years of Fiero building I am now getting back into the F bodies, looking at picking up a decent shape 94 now so I can do some work on it.
Basic plan is to upgrade to the L67 with a manual tranny then do some other upgrades to the suspension and brakes.
Previously I have owned quite a few second generation cars which I built up with every thing from 327's to 454's and 455's but with all the years of doing L67 Fieros I will stick with the newer engines that I am set up best to work with. Dan

Welcome. Save yourself some headaches and avoid 93-95 3.4 cars. You're going to be replacing a lot for an engine swap. Better off starting with a 99+ car if you can. 96's are kinda wonky since you have to pull the harness and go with the updated 97+ version.

Thanks for the sugestions, I was looking at a 96 but it had been hit, the 94 I am considering is in good shape over all and as far as wiring goes on a swap that is where I am at my best.
Done swap harnesses for the L67 into many Fieros, a few Montana vans, a couple of Pontiac 6000's and a few older style Cavaliers and one Beretta.
Was considering going with a nice LS1 or better but I am all set up now for the L67's with lots of spare parts and a DHP power tuner for programming the PCM's. Dan

          Re: Hello F body people

3.4 cars have crappy brakes, and many other little idiosyncracies that would frustrate even an advanced swapper. I just swapped an LS1 in my 99 V6, I have a clue what I'm talking about. Not much under the hood would work with a L67, and I'm pretty sure the fuel system would have to go.

Ahhh, a Fiero owner. Cool. That's my project too. If I get enough funding that is. :(

I'm just buying little things here and there to prepare for it.
