Ive got a 2.5L too, they are slow as all hell stock, put bigger tires on them they are even worse, cant even get out of their own way.

Now Im running a wrangler with a 2.5L with 42" tires

But its got Atlas transfer case with crazy gear reduction and 5.38 gears so it has no top speed but doesnt feel slow at all when your on the trail

The junkyard I went to last week had a couple Wrangler rebuilders... If I had space I would have bought one
Rebuilding the engine... Building a custom front end... T-top conversion... Custom rear hatch..
              Custom interior...
