Bird of Prey, are you keeping the LS1 stock or are you going to add a cam and some goodies?

      Re: Just wow...

Stock right now til we get it running and sorted out. No need to add additional problems. We are shooting to take it to a track rental this weekend, but that's being really optimistic.

Sorry about taking so long, been in Indy, and dealing with some possible health issues (possibly a kidney stone).

So, whatever happened with the shell of the TA?

Well yes, but.. I guess i had that coming! Do you think its possible to install a winch from the ceiling and pull the front up? Given, with the proper supports.. Really don't have a use for a tractor, and a winch of the ceiling is a GREAT conversation piece.. ;)

Definitely possible, my Dad and I used to pull engines using a manual wench and what's called a "swingset" basically two big A frames with a rod through the middle to hold the wench.

And it's in. I've been deathly sick the past 3 days. But I did get an update.

Tom, I know you deleted your A/C but how'd you get the accumulator out and such? I got it out of my Trans Am easily because there wasn't a lot of pressure, but on my Firebird I loosen the 10mm nut going to the compressor and it keeps hissing so I wait for it to stop, then do it a little more, then wait for it to stop hissing, etc. but it's taking too long. How should I do it?

I'm wondering what's gone on with this for the past few months. Any progress (starts, driven yet, anything)? I hope the plugs were changed before lowering the car. That's going to be the least fun, from what I understand.

A friend of a friend works for an HVAC company. He came out and vaccumed the system of the Camaro. There wasn't much in it anyway. The T/A was broken in the accident. I'd just go slow and let the pressure release.

You've missed all the other update threads? 11's on nitrous. low 12's on hp. Take a look around, I've been updating regularly. Oh, and plugs are really easy on LS1 cars, if you remove the heater box. I did them last wedsneday night in under 30 mins.

Ah, other threads. Between stuff at work, I tend to forget names on some of them. Sounds like she's running pretty d*** good! Congrats on the swap win!
