Someone just tighten the hell out of that thing.
But that's not how you would remove it, by ruining your wheel. You take it to a shop and they'll usually drill on it and take it out in pieces.

okay, so thats totally not VW's fault. It was either the idiot with an impact (lugs are only supposed to be torqued down to like 60-80) or the dumb *** trying to get it off...either way, i have never seen that done.Team NoVa

Yea, when I worked at Sears I always had to remove seized lug studs from VW's bc people would over torque them... most lug nuts should be torqued around 100ft-lbs and VW's around 60ft-lbs... They are a pain in the *** and since it was a wheel-lock it makes it that much worse, but even if you ruin the stud you should still be able to get it out with the right tools... especially if he had taken it to any descent tire shop...
I hate VW's wheel studs, and all new VW's in general, but that guy made it alot harder on himself than he had toRebuilding the engine... Building a custom front end... T-top conversion... Custom rear hatch..
