I wear safety glasses half the time. When using any air tools, buffer/grinders, or when I'm under the car. I wear gloves probably half the time too, especially when working around the engine before it's completely cooled off.

Eye protection - yes
Gloves - sometimes - if it is simple then no but more involved then yes

i never wear them unless im working under the car with a lot of rust around that is falling everywhere

i have had two friends that had to get their eyeball drilled out to remove pieces of rust

i wear safety glasses only if im going to be doing a lot under the car and have stuff falling on my face ... if its something like an oil change where i can be in a position where stuff doesnt fall on my then i dont wear them ... im not really sure why i dont wear them ... it isnt a matter of comfort or anything ... im used to wearing them because i have to wear them at all times at work ... but for some reason i dont put them on very often when i do stuff outside of work

... and i've had to get a peice of metal (wire brush) removed from my eye before ... wasnt fun

I wear all of my hockey pads.... just in case!
