• 300zx....

ok my buddy got a 300zx N/A right before winter and put it away in the garage. Well all winter he would talk all this smack to me about how its fast from a dead stop and from a 40 mph roll. Well anyways he put the car on the road about a week ago and i raced him 2 times today. Once from a dead stop which i gained about 2 car lengths on him by 55 when i shut down. then from about a 40 Mph roll to about 65 and gained a quick 2 1/2 car lengths on him and slowed down. After he called me up and hes like alright your car is faster then mine...gotta love stomping the import world with domestic

this was also with my 3.08's. My posi and 3.73's are going in next monday and the nitrous wasnt used...

right now im only running a 55...not really into going super fast just a little extra power when needed and not too much to really harm my engine

same here. the wife encourages modding. that was one of the selling points on putting a ring on her finger. ;)

You are all very, very lucky! My fiance hates the idea of me spending money on my car other than gas and oil changes.

I told her about the nitrous and cam swap...sleepin on the couch ever since (its worth it). I cant keep it a secret either, she knows my bank account as I do hers. She keeps telling me that we need to be saving money for our wedding (which is paid for as is the honeymoon) and for our future home and what not.

She's right, we do need to save some money, but she finally accepted the fact that I love cars and I am not pouring ALL I have into my car nor emptying my savings for it. I am still saving some money.

I told her "I am saving money...bought used parts not brand new ones..." ;)

That's pretty rough, but marriage is a set of compromises. So, put together a sound budget and make sure a small amount can be put away for "car MODDING". Notice I say MODDING, not repairs, or maintenance, but MODDING. Don't spend over this amount or there will be hell to pay.

Oh, I don't currently do this, because there's no extra cash to be put away for mods right now. However, this is how I'd do it if I was a baller, shot caller, 20" blades on my Impala... etc etc etc. ;)

I read something once I think it was about the 96' 300zx Twin Turbo, was like with new valves, turbo controler, intake, and igition system, you can run low 10's with them... They are insanely fast when built!
