• Did i do something wrong here?

So i'm driving home, its about 12ish, no cars on the road and i'm behind this Camaro SS (Pretty sweet ride). Anyway, i kinda hang next to him for a while (its a two lane road) until the road starts to narrow into one lane. Now i've seen this car before parked not to far from my house so i know where he lives, we both know that the road narrows and so we gun it at about the same time... needless to say he gets in first (haha, he wastes me). We take a right at the next light and when he goes to turn off i honk and give him a thumbs up... thought i was being nice... apparently tho he took it in the wrong way and turns around and storms after me, tailgating me until i turn off.

Now did i do something wrong here? Was that little honk really enough to piss him off? Cuz that definetly was my last intention.

Could he have mistaken your "thumbs up" for "the finger"? Or maybe he was just having a bad day.

I sometimes give a thumbs up as a sign of the person being a loser.

The best thing to do is to simply wave slightly.

Even if he gave him the finger, why would anyone turn around and tailgate someone else? Kinda gay if you ask me. I wouldn't worry about it.

Because some people get road rage and get pissed off...

It happens, from personal experience...

We were going down the parkway, around 1:00 in the morning. Come up on this car, my dumbass friend in the passenger seat flicks him off and my other friend driving floors it in his Mustang (V6 auto, nothing special). We get up to 110MPH, until hes pretty far back (it was a ****ty car, I think it had a wooden door or something?). We pull off onto a sidestreet thats along the lake (trying to find someone's house), and the other car keeps going down the parkway, giving us a nice, long honk goodbye. We go about 2 minutes down this street (going probably 20MPH since we were checking mailbox numbers), when this car comes flying up behind us with his brights on. He follows us for about another 2 minutes, throws a cup at the car, and turns around. How he turned around on the parkway, and got behind us that quickly I don't know. But some people are just ****ed up in the head, can't take a little joke...

Seriously. Yea, i thought maybe he had thought i'd flipped him off... and i know people get road rage (myself included) but to be quite frank i don't think that really justifies it. Not in my book anyway.

Wooden door? LOL He whittled himself a door out of a piece of bark.

Yeah around here it's like that too, if you beat someone you can expect the finger not a thumbs up.

Well, you didn't get shot or anything. Tha'ts good to know that ur ok. It's pathetic how easily ppl on the road can be pissed off. What's even dumber is if they get out of their car all pissed off about it. I mean SERIOUSLY...Why get out of the car?
"Hey dude, I'm pissed at you, get out an Fight!!!"
"No thx. I'd rather run you over"

Yeah...the guy that runs over someone because he is a wimp is now calling the guy that gets out of his car to fight...stupid?

I have smacked a couple of punks when I was younger because they thought it was cute to flick me off...funny how they thought they were tough until they ran into someone that was.

It was actually my side of the road that was ending. I see your point tho, but seriously his car has 100+ horsepower on mine, it wasn't close.

I always acknowledge people if I see them eye to eye. I feel it is polite. I pull out in front of this guy, but gun it quickly and wasn't even close enough nor slow enough to slow him down. I get into the left lane and he holds his middle finger onto the window for about 15 seconds. I for one never flip anyone off.(i'm not joking either).

so I held the palm of my hand open against the window on his side. I held it there for probably a minute, with a stupid grin on my face. He then shakes his head and flipped me off again.

Personally I think yelling or flipping someone off is a wussy/childish way to communicate your aggrivation. Yeah, maybe pulling over and discussing it may lead to a fight and I understand that. Just honk your horn and maybe shake your head or give him the wtf look. But thowing insults is retarded.

another time this guy honked his horn and tail gated me and hit his high beams. I stuck my tongue out the right side of my mouth, started trying to bite my ear and flailed my hands like a complete idiot. He also acted retarded back to me. I then started laughing and so did he. we both waved and went on our way. his wife was soo embarassed...
