Just had a couple races tonight:
I was cruising around town, minding my own business, when a stock Cavalier started pacing me. We stopped at a couple lights, and from the sound of his engine, he was going full throttle right next to me accelerating at partial throttle. I started humoring him and letting my engine rev to like 4,000 rpm between shifts. Then we came up to a light right before a pretty long open stretch. When it went green, I started normally and then gunned it at around 3000 rpm in first. Once I saw his headlights in my rearview at 45mph I quit accelerating.
A little later, I passed a gas station with a couple imports parked. After I had gone a ways further, I saw two cars approaching me pretty fast. The one in front, a 3000gt, lined up with me at a light. Both he and the Galant behind him started revving. I didn't rev back. The light turned green and the 3000gt chirped his tires and took off. I started normally and let him get his rear bumper to my front fender and then floored it. By 60 mph his front was at my rear bumper and he was falling behind, so I hit the brakes.
So, I had a fun night... :D
