Raced a SRT-10 tonight

I couldn't believe it.. the first SRT-10 I've ever seen and it was stopped at a red light with an empy spot next to it. I had to take the opportunity.

I pulled up next to the brand new black SRT-10 and waited for the light to change(this was at the same light the civic put 7-10 car lengths on me by 2nd gear about 1-2 months ago)

it changed and the SRT-10 floored it off the line... I didn't get a great launch (the new tires/rims can only launch at 2500 rpm or they spin) and he started pulling on me, but not as fast as I expected him to. I went up to 65 and he put about 4-5 car lengths on me.

I thought an SRT-10 would've blown my doors off.. but it didn't really beat me to badly

I think if I had a little spray(soon to come.. next pay check :D ) in my car I could've taken it.

If it was the truck and had you by 4-5 cars @ 65mph, he was owning you and not even pushing it that hard I hate to say. They're badass trucks. Mid 13s stock. My uncles got one, I'm going to run him with my Mustang =D

if he floored it off the line, he would have never caught traction.

They are 50,000 dollar trucks man, I'd be happy to stay within 4-5 bus lengths of one. [img]smile.gif[/img]

yeah it was the truck.. it was a sweet one.. he went off the the line at a slower pace.. then once he was up to like 10-15 mph he floored it.. it took off pretty damn fast for a truck, but not as fast as i expected a truck with a viper motor in it to

The truck you raced probably runs 14.0's@100 mph.

That is about 9 car lengths on a 15.3 car@90 mph.

So 4-5 @ your 65 mph is about right.

Now here is a video of about 10 cars ahead to a 15.3 car when it(the 15.3) hits 65 mph.
