• Smoked by a Honda Civic

I was behind a car and the light went red and he switched lanes so he could line up next to me. I looked at the car as I pulled up and saw the Honda emblem with a Civic on the side of the hood. I think it was a 2000-2004 model. I looked at the exhaust and it had what looked like true dual exhausts. As I pulled up to it I saw a bunch of gauges in the car.. triple gauges on the door, 2 gauges in the center of the car so at that point I knew I was about to get my *** handed to me. The lights went yellow in the opposite direction.. I revved up to 3500, got a perfect launch and this civic takes off like a bat out of hell

he had about 6 car lengths on me by the time I hit second gear. I've never seen a car so fast in my life, i can't believe how badly that civic crushed me.. unbelieveable, he slowed down and kept up with me side by side until he turned just to rub it in too.... ouch

Nobody wants to hear this! ;) ehh whatever, theres always someone faster.

that guy wasnt as bad as my co-worker with a civic, when he raced this sentra, after killing it he would slow down to meet it rev a bunch and while the sentra would pass he would gun it again to pass it and repeat.

You gatta watch it... Not ALL imports are rice infact some can be down right dirty sleepers when done right... Some people throw some serious cash into these cars. and considering most imports weigh a GOOD bit less than us I'm actually surprised that the ones that are blowing our doors off are the MINORITY!... Think about it... Turbo it and Tune it in a car that weighs like 2,000 - 3,000 lbs tops... You got yourself a mean little machine...

watch what? i was joking, take it ez i sed nothing about rice and/or imports in general what so ever. i sed, "ehh(cuz i dont really care) and there is always someone faster(cuz there usually is)". and we all know -lbs. and +hp is good. and i only talked about my co-worker because he is even more of a show boat than the guy matt g talked about.

i give props for winning-thats it; to put that many car lengths is quite impressive, and lastly there are jerks on both sides, import or not-i complain about drivers not cars.

I was amazed when this guy took off I have no idea how this guys tires didn't spin. His tires were thin just like a normal civic. It looked totally stock all the way around except for gauges and exhaust.

I couldn't believe the speed and how quickly he took off... In about 1-2 seconds he put over 7+ car lengths on me. I hate to say it.. but that is one honda civic I have a ton of respect for.. .. never had any idea they could be that fast

but those guys are the kool ones, and usually the cars sound pretty decent. its the stupid kids with the civic down the street with the spoiler and bumble bee exhaust that give the imports a bad name.

heh theres a guy around here with a 2000 civic si running a Vortec. he ran like 12.80s at the track. looked completely stock except for the wheels from the out side.

i had to shake his hand for having a fast car and i give that guy plenty of respect for doing his thing. a fast car is a fast car. no matter weather it sounds like a pissed off bumble bee or a rumbling ls7.

There was a 13sec turbo b16 car around here for a while, but he took the turbo off now. It was a pretty cool setup.
