  • 2 Hondas 1 win 1 loss

I seen this green honda hatch back the other day. It was lower and has some orange wheels. pretty good looking car. it looked like one of those sleeper hondas. i kinda figured he would be game. we finally got out of traffic and went for it around 35ish. he stayed about a car ahead till about 70-80ish then he started pulling really hard putting about 3-4 cars on me by about 100. i was really suprised how hard that thing pulled on top end! so my one friend at work, him and all his buddys work on hondas. there constantly swapping engines in there cars. i ask him if he knew that car. its one of his friends he said they swapped a h22 out of a prelude into that car about a month ago. he also said it went 13.8. now clue how i held him off so well.

later that night i raced a red honda hatchback lowered with afart can. wait for him then went. from 40 to 65-70 i had 4-5 cars. looked like he had a few people in his and i was by myself.

uhh - cmartin, this was a motorswapped Civic... a Prelude is a lot heavier than a Civic hatch, a LOT.

An H22 powered Civic Hatch - hmm.. Tight fit, VERY tight fit, but can be done fairly easily if you know what you are doing.

3.4....cold air intake, flowmaster, underdrive pullys, 3.42 gears, ngk spark plugs

as kbeezy said this is in a civic hatchback, which is a lot lighter. also note that i said this car went 13.8, thats pretty quick.

kbeezy, the one kid i talk to is always trying to figure out how to make things fit. his best friend is a BFH. he said it took them a good while to do the swap and then they had problems with motor mounts.

One kid at my school has a civic hatchback with a B16 swap. That is one of the quickest cars at my high school. Not to mention he pretty much did every weight reduction possible. He only has the two front seats in it. No carpet, speakers, or all the extra junk. Also he has headers, exhaust and intake.

                header, no s

H22's are the hardest to fit into civic hatches, imagine it as the 'honda big block'. IMO a K20 swap is the best out there for civics.

Fbody3400 - why would you say the K-series motor is the best swap out there right now? B-Series and D-Series cars still make a ****load of power. Hell, a simple D16 SOHC VTEC motor make a CRX a hell of a lot quicker!
