That's tough going up against a 305 TPI with a 3.4, congrats.

In a Z? I thought only the RS were TBI.

Heh, if it was a TBI then eh, not so great a victory, sorry.

My friend had a 1988 Firebird Formula with a 5.0 fuel injection. We said that one day we were going to race, but he ended up getting a new car. 2000 Camaro V6. Who do you think would have one. Both stock.

It depends on the type of fuel injection. Throttle body injected cars were much slower than tuned port.

I think it was TPI if I remember right.

Well, one friends' IROC had the 305 TPI and another's '89 T/A also has the 305 TPI. Last year he took me in my 3.4 but he has quite a few mods and I had a few less last year. It was still a close race, I've been bugging him to go back to the track with me... I want a rematch! At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
