Some of you may remember the link above ... good laugh right? Well, today ... I redeemed myself. [img]smile.gif[/img]
I'm having some trouble with the my locks and ended up reaching through the passenger door to open the driver's door. As I walk around the front of the car I see the ominous Town and Country mini-van of my co-worker sitting on the road headed towards our main office complex. (We're in the back, leaving the building they're about to tear down.)
I yelled over, "What are you waiting for?"
"You!" was the response.
Okay.
I get in the car, drive over to the road and stop next to the mini-van.
"Line 'e up, I still can't see you. Okay, [co-worker #2] is going to count backwards from 3. On 1, we go."
"Tara, there's a speed bump up there."
"Okay, first one to the speed bump wins."
Oh this is freakin' awesome! I just got called out.
So [co-worker #2] counts down
"One!"
And we both race off. I slipped really bad off the line - I mean... a car length or so ... and then it happened.
In anticipation of the speed bump, the mini-van braked.
Being the bracket racer that I am, I floored it right to the end of that speed bump - and props to Dodge -- those brakes are great!
So, in closing:
Mini-van 1
Skittles 1
Pathogen 0
Me and the mini-van are equal... for now. :evil:
