• Older LT1 v. My V6

    I was cruising last night and there was an older Z28 driving and he revved her up to me so I figured he wanted to line them up. I caught back up to him and we raced from a roll at 50 (best speed for me) we took off and it was bearly dead even the hole time up to about 85.

    We pulled over and talked and he had a borla exhaust and a filter. I was really surprized I even ran with that car

    I think it was like a 94-95 LT1.

          i remember your post Ian. that LT1 was strong. but i have beaten an LT1 before. not by even a car length but still a win.

          i think V8s just run slower here in Oklahoma :D

            Good run. The LT1's are getting a little old, it just depends if the owner is taking care of the car or not.

              that LT1 i had was strong? it has exhaust, thats it, 126,000 miles, and a 6 speed.

              i know what you mean though, he pulled the crap out of me. some LT1s are slow, im just makin sure the V6 community here keeps its head out of the clouds

                        A4 = 2.73 or 3.23
                        M6 = 3.42

                        Even LS1's were this way.
