i was at a light and this red vw beetle is next to me.. (u ever had the feeling that they were going to take off on ya?) well that feeling was right. as soon as it turned green i heard it rev up and take off.. problem is thats all there was to it was me hearing it and seeing some vw gnat in my rear view mirror. :D well we get to the next light they start talking S***! i take off normal and wait on them, i see them mash the gas i waited till they were at my door(keeping in mind i was right at 30mph in an auto...30 gear oh yeah ) i hit it just right and imbarrassed them bad then they did the vw gnat flyby.. i couldnt stop laughing at these dummies the entire time. i had like 1 1/2 cars on them without trying. haha, nice. One of my best friends drives a beetle, I make fun of him all the time. He jokes around trying to race me, but definitely knows his place and knows the car is slow as molasses. It gets hella nice gas mileage though.

Yeah they are pretty quick. My friend claims that she beat a 30th anniversary z28 with her turbo S but I kinda doubt it. The thing that surprised me is that she knew that they have an lt1 engine. I ran her in my 3.4 and she didnt pull on me very hard at all but she said that she wasnt pushing it cause we were on a public street. I dont know.

Not by choice, it was the car his parents passed down to him when he was 16. Believe me, he hates it and doesnt have it by choice. Right now he's been saving his money for a nice car while that one still runs well. For plain commuting, you gotta admit it's the gas mileage is worth it since it's free. Although he did just get it chipped recently, puts the TDI at 190 ft-lbs which honestly aint too bad. But yeah, he's just gonna keep it through college and buy something nice after he gets some decent cash. Nothing wrong with a free car, but he does get his fair share of being joked about it.
