Annihilated a '04 Stang

[97V6Camaro]

Im out cruised and hit a stop light where a normal 2-lane road, turns into a interstate (I-280)

There is double turning lanes, im on the outside, and up next to me comes a new Stang, driven by none other than one of my friends.

We dont say anything to each other, we looked, laughed, and braced for the light. Since it is a left-turn to the interstate, he had the advantage on the inside lane. When we got out the turn, he had about a 1/2 car length on me.

By the time i hit 40, i was dead even, and by about 60 having 2 full lengths on him. We shut down at around 75 with me having a solid 4 length lead.

At least i dont have to hear his crap about "I got a new Mustang...blah, blah, blah...."

The Stang is an auto by the way....

So many people around here think they are hot stuff with their little V6 auto Mustangs. I constantly have to smoke them so they get off their high horse and quit bragging about their slow cars. It's funny how some of them look at me with this astonished look on their face, it's like they actually thought they had some kind of advantage.

i've raced ALOT of stangs in my days. Even before i had my Camaro i had a '94 Z34 Lumina that had like 67k miles on it. It was a beast actually. I used to KILL stangs with that thing. Especially in the upper parts of the gears where the DOHC helped. I have lost to a few and beaten many but i don't really hate them. They are a good cheap pretty reliable car. I've never raced a V6 stang and lost but i haven't seen any one's that were really modded enough to stay with me. Nice kill by the way..... [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]

Everyone at my school thinks that Mustangs are so freaking fast. Its ridiculous. Ive told many of them we'll race and everybody says i will get smoked.

When this kid got that new Mustang, everyone was asking me all day if i was jelious....

I asked them why i would be jelious of a slow car.

Everyone at my school has stang's and they are slow. The only one that will beat me is a 5.0 with just about everything on it. Runs a 12 something and its sprayed. Looks like a piece of junk though.

its the name...every1 hears mustang they think of a fast car...people hear camaro or firebird and they think of a rust bucket with a mullet wearin hick blastin lynyrd skynyd and drinkin a 40

Dude it's so true how people think mustangs are fast....

I took my sister out for a ride in my vette...

A car that has 90 more hp and is well over a second quicker than a Gt mustang...

And she comments on how it's a really nice car, and then says..

Is this as fast as those Mustangs??????

I just wanted to slap her...

I had to explain to her for like half an hour how all her friends Gt mustangs would probaly be smoked by my car unless they were well modded.

She thinks that Im making this up and that mustangs are simply amazing.

She thinks that the 5.0 stands for doing 0-60 in 5.0 seconds and she herd vettes could only do it in 4.8 so I better watch out for those GT's...

Thats so funny.

Ive seen stock GT's run 15's at my track... Even modded ones.

Very comparable to a v6 camaro.

Yeah but you can't expect all girls to know everything about cars. It's a beautiful thing teaching girls about cars. It's to our advantage to teach them the right things that way they don't think stupid things like a GT could beat a Z06.

If those cars were really so fast not everyone would have one cas theyed be two expensive..

There was a point when I was thinking about getting a cobra instead of a vtte.

I went to the dealership and they wanted 44,000 dollars!!!

I actualy told the guy that for that price I could almost get a vette and left.

Yeah I plan on getting a vette as my next car but with all cars like that I'm going to have to get my financial situation in order first :(
