Anyone know anything about those SVT Contours?

My buddy who is a Ford nut is always running his mouth about how the SVT Contours are so fast and they would absolutely kill me and all this crap. I told him that I thought they were quick but not overly fast or anything spectacular. Then he comes back with well the one in town (a red riced out looking one in the town we live in) raced him and beat him. He drives a 94 Mustang GT Vert 5 spd. My friend and I ahve raced many times and I have beat him every single time so now he is going and trying to get this Contour to race me and I was wondering what they could run and stuff like that. And whether or not I could take one down in my GTP.

Rough estimate...your GTP should beat him if he is stock.

And its believeable that he beat a 94 GT vert. My friend has one thats stock and its SLOW. Mostly due to 2.73 gears.

i have to admit that the SVT contours are pretty slick.

the SVT ones are fairly quick. i take em down, but only by like 2 or 3 cars, but this is when i only had the borla only as a mod. car runs much better now with the other stuff.


you're GTP will kill it though. your friend has an ego problem.

Yeah he does have an ego problem. He can't stand the fact that I have a 6 that can take him down with ease. He always rides on how my car should be faster than it is (which would mean I would KILL him more right?) I don't know if the guy is stock or not I haven't ever talked to him but I am hoping to be able to get a 3.4 inch pulley on which will make it hink roughly 20 more hp is what I'm supposed to see which will take care of business very well I think.
