• killed a lancer

i was driving home from college the other day, and i just got my 3.42 rear installed. i was on the highway going the speed limit, which is 65, and i saw this black car in my rearview mirror coming up quick. it was a newer lancer, not the evo of course, i knew it was rice becasue it had a body kit that made it look like a catfish. he matched my speed in the left lane and i could hear his fart cannon. it made me laugh :D . he beeped his horn three times and we both floored it, i was walking im the whole time and at about 100mph i had 2 car lengths on him.
i was very surprised of my kill, my 3.4 has 188,000 miles on it and its still running strong

what about those 165hp lancers than you can bolt on evo parts? what do those run? I guess they're the ones one grade below the evo

The 162hp Lancer is the Ralliart, and depending on which magazine you read (Car and Driver, Road & Track, Motor Trend), it runs between a 15.0-15.7 in the 1/4 mile. Evo parts aren't quite bolt-on yet as the Evo has the 4G63 and the Ralliart has the 4G69 motor. Mitsubishi is apparently planning on offering performance parts, though.

Nice kill, I was wondering how a 3.4L would hold up against one of these.
