    Dodge Ram 1500 w/Hemi

    well i've always been curious as to how fast these trucks are, and finally i got one at the light that was willing to let 'er rip.

    this truck was the nicest looking truck i've ever seen.. it was a royal blue with a cowl hood said 5.7 Hemi Magnum. anyways, i look at the guy, and he break stands it and spins the tires for a good 15 seconds and gives me a grin.. so i do it back just to have fun.

    then the light turned green and he romped it and lit up the tires a good bit. i sorta bogged cause i was too busy burning my tires and the green light caught me off guard. I ended up passing him mid 2nd gear (about 45 mph) and had at least 4-5 car lengths on him by 70 when i decided to let off the gas.. as i was coasting he zoomed by me and honked and waved doing at least 100 mph. crazy guy. Nice truck.. i think i just over rated it though.

    next i want to race the new dodge stationwagon with a hemi.. that aught to be interesting

      There was one at the track that was turning 13.60's on a 100hp NX wet shot.. They can be pretty tough.. He launched in 4wd then shifted to 2wd after 1st gear... Nice Kill! They run mid to low 15's stock.

                  good kill. theyre first gear is strong, but shifting into second they hit a brick wall. exactly a week ago i ran a black one this is how that encounter went down:
                  me: (after him tailgating me for 15 min) "hey, that thing got a hemi??"
                  him: "**** you"
                  me: "ok"
                  light went green and he got the jump. i hit it, and we were pretty damn even in first, i shifted into second first and a split second later he did, and i just left him. insta-3 lengths, and all i have in an intake and a v8 muffler...for what thats worth. anyway, nope not the slowest things, but we can beat them :D btw was yours a single cab? if so then dayum it must have been beautiful. some kid at my school has a red double cab with exhaust and yes it sounds amazing...but hes been talking smack about my car so maybe i should **** him up and knock him off his pedastool. i smell a good race ;) lol

                    There's actually a free mod that sharpens the shift from 1-2 so much that the tires can break loose

                    its pretty much just been realized that its posible, real big news over at DTO.com

                      sounds good. i have always wanted to race those things but i never find anyone willing. those are my favorite trucks

                        My dad has a single cab short bed Hemi... and I know it would give my 14.70 car a run for its money, especially out of the hole. Perhaps there is that much difference in single cab versus 4 door.

                          It was a single cap.. not sure of the size of the bed.. dont think it was a short bed.

                          i know these must be pretty quick... my windows were down withthe air off.. his windows were up so he prolly had his ac on.. it was about 100 degrees that day... really hot.

                            i've beaten them with my dad's SS Silverado. And only raced and beat 1 with my Camaro.My dad's truck will kill me off the line until about 25. Then my car pulls like a raped ape. I love it.

                              is it just me.. or do those hemi's really sound good? any sound clips? I think they sound better then our v8 mustang brethren.. and much better than the ls1
