Just punched it from a roll at around 3k rpm's in first... smoked him. til around 50, then stopped, cuz he stopped racing too [img]smile.gif[/img] then he did a ricer fly-by and merged into my lane...

I don't think he was actually racing... No way.. 2600 lb car with 290 hp getting owned by a 3500lb car with 200 hp with both actually racing.... ehh I don't know2000 Firebird. You're looking at 3.2
There's a good chance that it was 3.0
WHICH IS:
252 @ 6600 RPM
210 @ 5300 RPM
lacking a little torque out there, eh? And look where peak is: at whooping 5300rpm. I was in peak powerband the whole time, it is possible he wasn't in his peak powerband all the time.
Like I said, as soon as I got a jump on him from 20mph roll, he stopped. If he would've continued, he would've passed me eventually. But he didn't, so I won!

Actually we punched almost at the same time, I saw his car jerk up. Like I said though, it took him long time to spool up the engine, which leads me to beleive that he can't drive and was in the wrong gear and I got a car jump on him. Whatever happened, it was just like I said it happened.

Come to think of it: he probably thought my car was a v8 and he had a girl in his car and he didn't want to embarass himself, so after I got a jump on him he just stopped racing to save face. lol
