For balancers I would go new, a old one might be starting to dry rott inside the balancer and cause your vehicle to knock. I think their about $100 new so its not too bad for a piece of mind.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Mine is the solid newer style, nothing to rott...Team NoVa

I'm looking for the newer style too--can't find it anywhere. My mechanic says it has to be replaced. I hat the idea of putting the old style on the engine, but what else can I do?Groovy is as groovy does.Comment

what about a junkyard, pull it off a newer 3.8l? like a buick lucerne or something? probably find something with like 30,000 miles for cheap
Otherwise I think intense racing and zzp sell some, but they are aftermarket and $$$
