  • Wanted: Salvage Parts car

I'm looking for a wrecked Z28 or SS to use for a LS1 swap (99-02). So far the only site I can find is copart.com

What are some other sites I can check to find a donor car?

I need to find something with less than 58,000 (that's the milage on my car)

That is where my donor came from. You just have to be patient. You can also look at T/As and formys. And why does it have to be less than 58k?

I'd just prefer it had less miles than my car, I just cant justify putting older parts in my car.

How much do salvage cars go for? and how does the bidding on copart work?

It depends on the condition of the car, but I got mine for $3100 which was driveable, although it wasn't classified as driveable on copart. As far as bidding, I would suggest you use autobidmaster.com as your broker.

get them from time to time
finding under 58K is going to be hard on a car 10 yrs old

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
