  • HP Tuners VCM Suite for '02 V6 f-body (serial version)

I sold my bird a while back and never got around to getting rid of some extra parts I have laying around. This is probably the most valuable piece of all and since it's still completely usable to anyone with an '02 I thought I'd offer it up here on my old favorite msg board :) It has free lifetime software upgrades, and it's still possible to upgrade the cable to the newer USB version through the HP Tuners website. There are no extra credits left on this license obviously, so if you don't have an '02 you'll have to purchase them as well.

I'm including a Serial to USB adapter along with the driver disc and the original HP Tuner's software disc. Shipping is included to the continental 48 states. $150 obo

I'll check back here every so often, but please email me directly at cptemple@gmail.com if you want a faster response.

I should note that in order to use the serial interface with a model year other than 2002 you have to either upgrade to the current hardware ($199) and purchase 2 credits ($99) OR purchase another model/year ($199) for the current interface. So either way you're going to spend at least a few hundred bones making this thing work with your car. It's still quite a bit cheaper than buying a new unit from HP Tuners which now cost $499 or $649 for the Pro version.

Probably a dumb question, but aren't used credits tied to the VIN# of the vehicle? Unless I'm reading your post wrong, it sounds as though you're saying that I could use your version of HPT on any 2002 V6 Camaro without having to buy additional credits.

Yeah it is confusing, but yes I bought it originally with the 2002 V6 fbody license.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
