  • If you need a new O2 sensor...

Here's a place that sells them cheap on EBay:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33557
New, purchased in bulk (so no package will come with the sensor), make sure you fit the listed applications. Usually runs around anywhere from $72 at GMPD to $130 at your local dealership. Get it here for $32 shipped. No, I'm not affiliated with these folk, but I bought one from a previous auction (haven't recieved it yet, won it late Friday night and it was shipped on Monday.) Hope this makes my SES light go away for a while (it should.) Have fun folks...

Some of the problem why you are getting an SES light may be those 605's you're running. If you don't have a pulley swap they are probably too cold for your setup.

The one in the picture has the square connector, which means it's only for the post-cat sensor (maybe also pre-cat for 95-97, I don't know for sure). If you need one for the manifolds, that one wouldn't work.

OK, just checked my parts manual. Here's the deal: AFS109 are the sensors that are on the manifolds from 97-02. I guess they just used a stock photo of it that had a different connector.

Got them in today, perfect and shipped very well in good packing material. Just installed it and got the code reset. I need to drive it some more to see if it corrected my SES issue, but I think it did the trick. The code is supposed to set 2 minutes after the car warms up completely (is this open- or closed-loop operation, I can't remember!) The vehicle was already warmed up (installed the sensor on a hot engine, OUCH!) and the code didn't set on my 5 mile drive back home, so let's hope! ;)

Autolite 605's are only 1 range colder than stock and won't negatively affect anything aside from fouling quicker due to the colder temp on the plug, but thanks for the advice!

Do you remember the User ID's Name that sold you these? Sorry to revive this post, but 2 of my O2 sensors are out (bank 1 and bank 3), and my gas mileage is getting killed. You could find out under the feedback pages.

              Thanks L32Project

User ID is arnorton and doesn't seem to be selling actively right now. BTW, sensor is still running great!
