  • turbo 3.8

    1980 buick 3.8 turbo (carberated)
    less than 3k miles on rebuild
    ported heads, blue racer cam, msd 6a ignition w/ accel cap & wires & dui 52,000 volt coil, adj. wastegate, 3 in downpipe
    needs carb(spreadbore,motor has 1 in open spacer)
    came out of my 1980 monte carlo turbo coupe(recently sold the chassie) this would be a good motor to put in a 3rd gen f-body or a rwd h-body

    aasking $600

    I also have a tranny and more mods for this motor

    only 600? whats wrong with it?

        does it take the same kind of carb that the 301 TT/A had, of can a regualr one modded for it work?

          the turbo and carb are the same as the 301 T, the lower intake is aluminum
          you can use a regular carb( we had a 650 holley dp spreadbore for it, but we sold it)

              At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
              Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
