  • 2002 SLP Firebird GT

    Bought a v8, so as much as I love this car, it needs to go.

    I finally received confirmation that this car is build number 107 out of only 443 Firebird GT's modified by SLP in 2002. The same SLP that is responsible for the Camaro SS and Firebird Firehawk! This is a very rare car and the odds of ever seeing another on the road just like it are very, VERY slim!

    This car is in great shape, not mint, but it is in overall great shape and always turns heads. I always get compliments ranging from a little boy holding his daddy's hand saying "ooooh nice car!" to the local Taco Bell drive thru "dang err-body, check out dis dudes whip!" This car has never seen the winter. It's been driven on the first snow once since I've owned it, and it was washed and stored for the rest of the winter after that. It does see rain, but it is always washed/waxed and well taken care of.

    Exterior I would rate at 8/10.
    Interior I would rate at 8.5/10.

    There are a few tiny dings and paint chips on the right rear quarter panel. They were all there when I bought the car 2 years ago. The chips appear to be from little rocks/debris being thrown up by the tires on the car itself.

    There is some scuffing under the front bumper from the previous owner parking over curbs/sidewalks. There is also some spider-web marking on the right hand corner of the front bumper from a rabbit that I hit hard on the brakes at about 40mph (was doing about 80 on the highway when it ran out in front of me).

    Other than that, no other issues with the body that I can think of.

    Interior has a few small cigarette burns in the drivers seat and the panel in the center console next to the cigarette lighter has a few burns. The previous owner was a smoker. I've cleaned out the butts from under the center console and seats. Besides those markings, you can't even tell that this used to be a smokers car.

    Dash is NOT cracked. It does however have a small 1" or so crack at the top of both door panels.

    It has T-tops with shades, power locks, power windows, power drivers seat, cruise control, cold a/c, manual transmission with traction control.

    It does have the factory Monsoon system.

    It has a custom tune on it. It performs better on premium gas, but still runs fine and has no issues on regular.

    Oil changed every 5000 miles on Mobil1 full synthetic except the last two oil changes this year. The two most recent have been 3000 on the dot with Brad Penn 10w30 partial synthetic.

    Currently has C5 Z06 17"x9.5" wheels. Black with polished lip and rivets. 2yr old, 20k mi. Nitto 555 extreme tires with atleast 80% tread left. I may remove these and put on some other black with polished lip wheels and bald tires. I'll knock $500 off the price if I do this.

    ================================================
    These next few things will be options when buying the car. You can have it stock (except for the tune), or with the following:

    FULL exhaust system, from the headers to the tail pipes. I built my own custom true-dual setup, all out of stainless steel. I have the Forced Fed Fab Longtube headers, followed by a pair of high-flow cats, SLP Loudmouth 2 mufflers and Corsa clones. There is no H-or X-pipe, tho it would not be hard at all to add one. The exhaust is held together by V-Bands, and can be dropped from the car in 15 minutes (minus the headers of course). There is atleast $1000 in this exhaust system alone.

    Eibach Pro-Kit springs. The fronts have had about 1/2 coil cut off them, but I have had no issues.

    BMR shock tower brace.

    I have an Alpine deck in it right now with an iPod cable that is run under the center console up through the ashtray. It does charge your iPod/iPhone.

    I also have an "SLP Performance" car cover.

    I also have several engine build supplies for the 3.8L if the buyer wants them as well for an additional cost.

    All stock parts will come with the car however you buy it.
    ================================================

    With the tune and open longtube headers, this car dyno'd at 195hp and 225rwtq to the wheels on a dynojet. This is very good for a naturally aspirated stock 3.8L v6.

    Currently has 98,000 miles on it. It will continue to go up as it is my daily driver during the summer. I'll be putting it up for the winter at the end of the month.

    (Current exhaust setup and car with rear eibach springs is not pictured)

    I can text more recent pics if wanted.

    I'd like to sell by the end of the month so I have a place to keep the Trans Am that I bought instead of leaving it outside so the SLP GT can stay inside.
    $5,500 stock, $6,500 with all option parts (not including engine build stuff)

    You can text me at (269) 252-6120
    I work 2nd shift and can not have my phone on me, so it may take a little bit to get back to you.
