A local mechanic keeps telling me I need to fix my steering column. Im not exactly sure what he's referring to. It does have a little play left to right but nothing unusual I dont think. The tilt wheel seems okay, has some down play but no up. Is there a common column problem with fbodys?

Not to just F-bodies, it's a GM thing. The whole assembly outside the dash is held in by 4 bolts and they loosen over time. It's an afternoon project of you have the tools. Just get down to the bolts and tighten them, throw in some Loctite.

I cant remember who it was, but there was someone working on an old truck that had the same issue. My girls truck had that and I used this to fix it.
