Re: Post your Sound System here!

haha i feel right insignificant lol, i dont have much, but i dont need much...it is as follows...

head unit: JVC 220w (it has red lights lol)
doors: Jensen audio 2-way 6.5's ($20 from circuit city) bose delete/doors
    sails: speaker delete
box: a custom box on the hatch shelf w/ 2 Crate Bass amp 12"s

i was content w/ the stock bose system until the passenger bose crossover unit started cutting out, so i deleted the bose on both doors and picked up the jensens...they sound incredible for the price. For the box, i got that from a friend in my band, and ran some spare #8 speaker wire from the driver side sail panel wire to the box. it all sounds really good for what it is, and i dont need much more than just a well balanced system. just enough to add some lows to the rock albums. I do have a crossover for the box i need to install thou...amp soon to come =D

          1 Pioneer DEH-P6600 Head Unit
1 Pioneer CDX-P670 Six Disk Changer
          4 Pioneer 4-way 6 1/2" Speakers Front and Back
          2 Pioneer GM-7300 800 Watt Amps both at 2ohms
          2 Pioneer Premier 12" TS-W1207D4 Subs
          1 Q-Logic QL-C1CFT212 Dual 12" Sub Enclosure

The subs are each wired to their own amp at 2 ohm stable. My buddy and I ran all the wires under the carpet and such. He works for an car audio place around by me and was able to get me a great deal on the amps, subs, and box. The rest i had already had for quite some time.

The cd changer is in the little open space on the opposite side from the spare tire. I am suprized that nobody else has posted having a Q-Logic box yet besides me.

Re: Post your Sound System here!

Have had this setup for a few years... I'll get some better equipment when I get outta college and can get a full-time job.

                      Pioneer DEH-P6600 head unit
6.5" Infinity Reference Series speakers up front
                      Stock 6.5" at rear seats
                      Disconnected hatch speakers
                      (2) 12" Kicker L5s (05 model)
                      Viper D1200.1 subamp (1200WRMS @ 1ohm @ 12V)
                      Subthump T-top box
                      KnuKonceptz 4 guage wiring kit

I'm looking at getting some Polk Audio components through my accomodations at Circuit City (the Momo series 6500, can get them for like $74/pair). Then I need to find an amp to power them...

                            Hmm...well let's see where do I begin.

                            H/U.................. 2008 Pioneer DEH-P6000

Front speakers... Cheap Pioneer 4 Ways in doors, MB Quart Aluminum Tweeters and c/o's from old component set and some cheap peizo tweeters.

Rear Speakers.... Cheap MTX Thunderdome Axials with about 1 pound of polyfill stuffed behind them.

Subs................. 2 Incriminator Audio Lethal Injection 12's

                            Sub Amp............ 2005 Model Hifonics BX2005D - 2000@1ohm

Front Amp.......... Old Pioneer Premier PRS-X220 two channel amp - 64+ watts rms and only god knows how many for tweeters since upper frequency range most likely goes nearly to 1 ohm per channel abot 3000hz

Rear Amp........... Hifonics Zeus ZX4000 2 channel amp - 100 watts rms per channel for some added midbass since thats mostly all the MTX's are good for in the sail panels.

And before anyone says or thinks im crazy for having so much different stuff....ive got countless hours (behind the volume knob) I guess you could say tuning everything perfectly setting c/o points and h/u settings. Its amazingly clean especially with the High Bias Class a/b Premier amp pushing my front highs. Ill post some pics when im done hiding wires and cleaning up my interior.

Nice, although you should finish carpeting the box, the sides and stuff so you dont see the wood, and you should try and route the wires under the carpet so they arent seen, it would look alot cleaner
