I'm interested in what other people have, brands and sizes of speakers, enclosures, location of your speakers. Show off what you got here! Pictures welcomed!

guess i'll start:

2- Rockford Fosgate 10" Punch P2's subs
Rockford Fosgate 550w Punch amp
Custom 2-10" sealed enclosure
JVC KD-G230 head unit
Rockford Fosgate 8 awg wiring kit
Sorry i hadn't taken any pictures previously and its too dark now, so i'll describe mine.

The enclosure is located in the hatch area, NOT in the t-top storage area. the amp is mounted inbetween the two subs, for a flashy look. The box was custom built by a larger audio store in my area, the carpeting is a perfect match. When i bought my head unit i made sure it had red lights, and it beautifully matches the blood red pontiac lighting.

future planned upgrades are new 6.5" speakers, flush mount pontiac head unit bracket, and illuminated red "Firebird" trim plate.

Ok, so I dont have any pics right now, but if anyone wants some pics let me know and when I go home for fall break (this weekend) I can get some and post them.

I was thinking about making one of these threads, if everyone would just post their pictures and their specs, Id like to clean it up a bit and make it a sticky...

I really need to get a camera when I get some money so I can get a few pics but heres the list:

4 Polk DB675's 6 3/4 inch speakers being pushed by
Kicker 350.4 (60watts rms x4 at 4 ohms)
2 10" Kicker L7's being pushed by
Kicker ZX1500.1 (1500watts rms at two ohms. 750 going to each sub)
Eclipse CD3000 head unit
Humount with red lighting saying Firebird

The subs are in stealth boxes by Subthump and the amps are on a rack from them as well. You cant see anything unless the flap in back is down which is how I wanted it.

I had it metered and I hit 138.8 db. It keeps me happy, and deaf when I want it to.

all the Wireing is STINGER ... 0ga. / 8ga. Primary and 12ga. / 16ga. Twisted Speaker Wire

I used 3 150A Circuit Breakers and 2 Kinetik Batteries

1200 Watts going to the hi"s... 4.. 8" m-bass ... 4.. 6.5" 4ways ... 2.. 5.25"... 10.. tweeters ......

3 - 12" geting 7200 Watts ... 30 Farad Cap ...

PS-2... 5.6" Monitors / Camera ...... 10.4" Flip Dn Monitor.... 9.2" Visor Monitors...

I always believed in weight savings and stock apperance...no heavy subs here.

Removed sail panel woofers althogether and stuffed them with sound absorbing filler.

Running Alpine Type-S Up front and a Basslink in the spare well.

mines a bit of a heinz 57 mix. prices reflect the reason...

sony cdx m630 (total cost of $12, repair cable)
4 pioneer 6 1/2s (2 were almost free, 2 new)
2 boston acoustik tweeters (free)
jensen 600 4 channel for highs (free)
2 alpine type r 10s (new at $230 for the pair)
power acoustik 1920/2 2 channel for lows (new at $190)
4ga power cable, 3 pairs of monster cable pre amps

for what it costed it sounds pretty good. looks like this:


the 10s seem to respond pretty well to their position, and theres still a bunch of room beneath them. plus i have the factory spare and jack, jumper cables on one side. the other side carries extra fluids just in case, 2 1/2 gallon gas can included. empty of course, but you just never know with our faulty sending units.

ive had ALOT of problems with the system,replaced the 400w amp that powers the speakers 3x (lol)...*this last time the amp went i added a capacitor,hopefully that helps (prlynot)...

the subwoofer enclosure wasnt of the right size and that is why i had to replace the subwoofer twice,the enclosure is now of the right size.

all speakers were replaced once (had them replaced after the 2nd amplifier went, should of just left the original speakers in because they sounded great b4 amp went)

stuff that HAS NOT been replaced: wiring, head unit, hd tuner and the subwoofer amp...

the problems havent cost me any money due to warranty that i was originally not even going to get, the salesman talked me into it(thank god)..

what it has cost me is LOTS of time :/

how is it with that box, does it sound better now w/ the ported box or before in a sealed box?

by the way i got the same subs as you, im runnin em on a 1000W amp, how many watts does the rockford have?
