Re: How to tune your car!!!!

Was wondering if I should tune my car, I've got an 02 camaro 3.8L with the following mods:

      Mid tube Pacesetter Headers
      No Cat
      Magnaflow catback
      High performance plugs and wires
      Cold intake

Right now I'm just running it with the stock computer config.

      Thanks for any input.

Re: How to tune your car!!!!

You can always have it tuned, but I wouldn't do a mail order tune. I would buy Hptuners and then a wideband and do it yourself. Gotta pay to play, if you plan on keeping the car awhile I would get those 2 mods. If you don't plan on keeping it then I would leave it alone.
        08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
96' Camaro M5 to A4 conversion, alot of mods . GT35R Turbo full suspension. Built engine

Even if you don't plan on keeping it.. HPTuners works with tons of GM models.. even the newer mustangs.. And widebands fit any car.

Re: How to tune your car!!!!

After a few years of not seeing anything on the market, I finally just now saw the Tuner Cat software. I just got it in the mail and had a heck of a time installing it on my PC, but, its on now and seems to be working.

Has anyone created any basic tunes out there yet? I'd like to finally tune my ARI Racing engine thats been running on the stock ECU for probably about 8 years now.

I'll be playing with the tune for a bit but wanted to see if anyone has seen noticeable or major improvements and what they edited to get that.

                  Thanks! :)

Re: How to tune your car!!!!

not sure if your still looking but these guys seem to have put together base tunes and definition files for most gm obd 1 computers.

                    93-95 f-bodys

If your running a 93 then the version 1 or 2 is what your looking for based on trans, if a 94 or 95 look under version 3 in the zip folder
