  • Flowmaster U-Fit Dual Catback

Hey guys, a while ago I was contemplating a true dual setup and now i'm seriously considering Flowmasters U-Fit 2.5 S/S (409) setup. Has anyone ever tried this setup before? I believe its fairly new because I cant find any reviews on them. I'm trying to avoid welding as this is a "slip fit" system. The final result will be Pacesetters mid length-> Magnaflow High flow cats-> Custom H pipe-> Dual sportsman Xr-1's-> 3' S/S tips. Let me know what you guys think who have done duals.

I've never tried it but I do know that TD's on any F-Body isn't cake if you're going behind the axel. You're going to have to diverge both pipes to the passenger side of the vehicle to clear the axle and suspension components. Be prepared to spend upward $700 if a shop does this for you.

And I'm trying to fabricate the system on my own, shops are very narrow minded, charge you an arm and a leg, and use ****ty steel/crappy welds. That's why I'm thinking the slip fit system would work well with the right cuts and placement. Apparently they are popular setup's on corvettes ive read. Correct me if I'm wrong lol.

That's pretty rad, not bad on price either. I think Im going to pick this up when I get to the exhaust part of my build.

Btw, what is that long flat bar just after the cat that runs from the driver to passenger side? Looks like some sort of stabilizer but looks flimsy to me and I can't see how it offers any body stability? Any input? It's the only thing blocking me from running the duals down the middle like the single stock exhaust would.

That would be the driveshaft tunnel brace. I Removed mine to make space for my exhaust setup. I have not noticed any adverse side effects since removal.

No problems with that flimsy little piece of sheet metal. It's mainly to help out if your driveshaft falls the heck off.

Mine has been gone for 40K miles now.

The videos does not do the car justice, it's much louder and deeper in person.

I agree..although the best YouTube sound clip I have heard is the green camaro that I'm sure everyone has seen and heard.
