  • finished turbo setup

I built this setup from scratch over the course of the last year or so. It consists of a master power t70 turbo, turbonetics wastegate, ebay bov and intercooler, 60lb/hr injectors, aem wideband, boost gauge, fuel pressure gauge, 3" downpipe with electric cutout, GTP manifold on driver's side, "weld-el" style log manifold on passenger's side, and a lot of little things... The car isn't registered so I only took it for a quick drive down a dead end road and I gotta say it feels really fast even though I only hit 5psi.
    Here's a picture:

97 Firebird -- Project Car - kyb agx shocks, eibach springs, 3.42 torsen diff, aluminum driveshaft, slp cai, pacesetter headers, magnaflow cat-back. hptuners. not done yet.

                          Re: finished turbo setup

Haven't been on here in a while.. good to see someone searched for this thread anyway haha.. Update on the car.. put about 10-15,000 miles on it with the turbo. running 10psi a couple spikes to 14 every now and then. It was on the verge of maxing the MAF and I never got the tune spot on. The transmission lost 2nd gear after slipping for a while so I tuned the tables to shift from 1st to 3rd and skip over second. Got by on that for a while and then lost 3rd gear too. Anyway I picked up a low mileage transmission out of a 99 a few weeks ago and put a shift kit in it. I should be done putting it in the car this week and then it's going back on the road. The car was fast even without 2nd gear so I can't wait to see what it can do now.
