Does anyone use this? I was thinking about getting it for my car because I hardly drive it. If I make my own wire, do you know what gauge and what fuse size should be used? The switch itself is less expensive on ebay because of the shipping charges...

I would just buy a trickle charger and plug it into the wall and then connect it to your car battery, most of them come with an overload protection so it doesn't destroy anything.

Besides if you disconnect the battery the computer is going to have to go through the re-learn routine every time you drive it. It can sit for over a month w/o being driven and still have a charged battery. I would trickle charge it or just drive it every few weeks.
