I have a 96 3.8l with a dying alternator. I want to rebuild it instead of buying a new one, hoping that its cheaper than buying a new one. Is there any companies that make a rebuild kit or do I have to take it to a mechanic to get it rebuilt? I did a search on Google and on the website but found no links that lead to an actual rebuild kit for my alternator. any help is appreciated thanks.

It's going to be a hard find if you're looking for a place that rebuilds Alt. There's too few of them in the US.
