here's a pic of the damage... can i just replace this line or do i have to get the whole master cylinder assembly? or is this some special order?

From the dealership, the line only comes attached to the master cylinder. You might be able to find it separately at a NAPA or other discount auto parts store.
Also, you might want to look around at all of your engine bay wiring harnesses. It's kind of difficult to tell for sure in that picture, but it looks like something (rodent) chewed on that line a bit.

Re: clutch pedal "popped". goes strait to floor effortlessly, clutch no engage
Well just a quick update on the situation.
i called my local gm dealership and they said v6 manual clutch master cylinders are no longer being made? he said they still have them for the LT1 and LSx engines but wasnt sure about it working for v6. im sure it would but anyways... i said screw it and let my fingers do the walking in the white pages and found a place called AMAZON HOSE..
www.amazonhose.com ... i think... they are a warehouse of every kind of hose and fitting you can think of.
well i took it there and they mocked up an exact hydraulic line for 25 bucks... but they did have to reuse the pressure fitting that goes to the slave cylinder. other than that, it came out quite nicely.
old master cylinder with new hose was reinstalled. i'll tell ya what. its a ***** getting that threaded u clamp to line up with all the holes through the firewall.. took about 2 hours of pure fustration and cursing till it finally situated itself correctly..
and i must say.. mityvac kicks ***. dont bother renting a vacuum pump from advance auto. it sucks. i couldnt get more than 3 to 5 inches mercury with that thing. mityvac hits 15 inch mercury in 3 pumps..
clutch feels great again.

yea since all you needed was the hose too...
but i'll tell ya what i still kind of wish i just replaced the whole thing.. instead of just the hose. pain the butt job.. and the thought of reinstalling a pump with 120k miles of use just lacks any sense to me.. eh hopefully it holds out another 120k
