  • Shifting to Neutral with A4 tranny

While driving my car, is it okay to shift to neutral when at a stop light or slowing down. Does this in any way lessen the tranny life or do any damage to the car?

    Thanks

I shift into Neutral at stop lights when I know they are slow and I am going to be wating for a while, It is not good to shift to N while rolling because the trans is not geting lubericated and the gears are spinning dry.
