  • 97 Formula rear in an 02 Firebird.

Other than using the Hyptertech Tuner for the speedometer, would it be hard to transfer the "guts" from a '97 Formula with 3.42 gears & Posi into an '02 Firebird with 3.23 gears & non-posi?

The parts should all fit, but whether or not the job will be "hard" depends on:

    1) If you have the skill to set up a rear axle
    2) If you have the necessary tools
    3) If you have the FSM to guide you though the process.

I've not done the swap myself, but seen threads on it.

The gears and LSD are OK - but other than that - NO other parts.
