  • Weird clutch slippage

I don't launch my car very often, but I wanted to see how sticky some new tires were. So I launched at about 2500 and the clutch slipped all the way to redline, got off the gas, got back on it and slipped all the way again. Nothing like that has ever happened before; at the next stoplight I accelerated like normal and once I got to 3000 floored it with no slipping. I tried dropping it into 2nd at 45mph and everything was normal.

Anybody have any ideas why it would slip like that and then not do it again?
