I swear this was asked/answered before but I can't find it

What other vehicles are compatible with our 4L60E?

    2002 SOM Z28 Camaro - 12.9 @ 104 mph
    1996 3800 Camaro - 13.43 @ 100.77 mph

    so revisiting this

Are Sonoma's and S10's using the same transmission that we are? i.e a direct swap? I know we can use their torque converters?

Is anything different on their 4l60e versus ours?

The 4.3's use a standard Chevy bell housing. Not sure if the 4 cyl uses the same bell we have. I would think if the trans is behind the 4 cyl it has a lower torque rating.

yes but would the 4cyl be able to use our transmission is more of my concern than the other way around

I would think it could as long as the bell housing is the same.

The series II 3.8 does not use the BOP bell. The only difference in the tail shaft housing is the bold holes for the torque arm.
