  • T-tops???

Hi, I've just purchased a 1996 Pontiac firebird about 2 days ago. I have this problem where in the drivers side I'm trying to take my t-top off and it comes of easily, but then in the passenger side I have to force the knob to unlock the t-top. If anyone knows how to fix this problem help will be greatly appreciated!!!!

Pop off the interior trim around the front and back of the ttop, and there is a pin hole that the ttop locks into on both sides that is adjustable. Check how those are adjusted, maybe that will fix the problem.

MAKE SURE THE PIN ON THE TTOP GOES IN ALL THE WAY SO YOU DONT LOSE YOUR TOP ON THE HIGHWAY!!!...just a side note, we've had a few people here lose them on the road.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
