    does taking off the cat really help add more power and if so how much i put in a straigh pipe in its place i know thta it doesnt pill out as fare like it did and if theres 3 pople in the car and i try to do a burn out it wont but i do notice its alot faster top end i hope im not imagining things but it will get to 120 kinda quick

    with correct tuning it has been a known power adder...i think little g gained a couple tenths & a couple mph by deleting the cat and deleting the added fueling added in the computer.

      I gained two tenths when I got rid of the cat, and I gained another two when I fixed the associated fueling issues.

          You'll run richer.

          The more you open your exhaust, the more air that flows, the more air commands more fuel :D

            I'm talking about COT, otherwise known as cat over temp protection. GM puts it in there to drown the cat to keep it from burning up. So you end up running way to rich.
